About NCPPRC
The NorCal Practical Precision Rifle Club (NCPPRC) was founded in 2006 by Vu Pham and Shawn Shaw in response to the growing demands of precision rifle shooters in Northern California. NCPPRC has a membership roster of nearly 100 precision rifle shooters from all walks of life.

Our mission is to provide events where the serious practical/tactical precision rifle shooter can test their skills and abilities in a safe and controlled environment. These competitions will give precision rifle shooters an arena to refine their skills in ways that pre-existing competitions do not currently provide. Matches will be conducted in a professional and safe manner.

One of the unique facets of our club is that we provide competent mentoring for new shooters. NCPPRC offers clinics, monthly practice sessions, and an Internet forum. Our organization offers monthly competitions, monthly practice sessions, and an annual two-day event that attracts civilians, law enforcement, and military shooters from across the nation.

Our competitions and events are open to all people regardless of race, gender, or religion. Moreover, they must be law-abiding citizens who can legally possess a firearm and be 18 years old of age or older.

Every effort will be made to accommodate those with disabilities; however the very nature of these competitions and events may exclude him or her from certain courses of fire.

Some of the objectives of NCPPRC include:

• Promote the safe, professional handling of firearms
• Encourage others to participate in precision rifle competition
• Support new shooters with the development of their shooting skills
• Standardize match formats, safety briefs, and instructional information
• Improve the quality of precision rifle matches
• Help develop programs at other ranges

All of our information is available on NCPPRC’s website, and we encourage other match directors and those considering directing matches to utilize our materials. Also, we encourage others to provide us with constructive criticism so we can continue to refine our program. This enables NCPPRC to continue providing cutting edge matches within the parameters of our facility.
